Like every month, we eagerly await a new release from a band we know and others we don’t know, thanks to our friend Mr. P from DCxPC Live.
Today, we have the pleasure of holding in our hands a beautiful vinyl with a clear purple hue, ready to play on our turntable. It’s from a band hailing from Orlando, Florida, named Moat Cobra.
They bring us a 12-inch record, featuring the A side (Live Side) with 7 tracks recorded live at Uncle Lou’s LMGA in Orlando (4/22/22). These tracks are full of raw and straight-to-the-vein hardcore, heavily influenced by old school New York hardcore with a touch of metal or perhaps mathcore? (There’s something in their voice that reminds me of Philip Anselmo.)
On the B side (Dead Side), they offer 8 tracks recorded in the studio, with a well-crafted sound for heavy music lovers. I’m providing the digital format of this album here, but you can go HERE to get a copy and support DCXPC to keep releasing and supporting many underground bands in this beautiful format!
