Alright, let’s talk about “Nothing Personal,” the debut album from Toronto’s punk rock power, No Sunshine Collective. This trio has dropped a nine-track bombshell that’s a cool ride from start to finish. Each song is packed with dark, introspective lyrics and guitar riffs drenched in distortion, clocking in at under two minutes. It’s short, sweet, and punches you right in the gut.
Listening to “Nothing Personal” brought back vibes of Dillinger Four and The Ergs! It’s got that raw, frenetic energy that makes you want to pogo around your living room. The album doesn’t give you a moment to catch your breath – it’s relentless in the best way possible.
I managed to snag a copy on CD, and let me tell you, it’s a gem. The photography and design are top-notch, really capturing the essence of the band’s aesthetic by Steve Colucci. The sound quality is crisp, and the production is solid, mixed/Mastered by Justin Koop at BTown Sound Studios.
If you’re into fresh, new music and you’re all about supporting the underground scene, you’ve gotta get your hands on this album go grab a copy at Cartridge Heart.
