Ryan Kidd, who used to rock as the singer and guitarist for The Disconnects and played bass for The Undead, has just dropped his debut LP/Tape called “Dead In Memphis.” This 15-track album is a dope mix of power pop and punk rock, drawing vibes from legends like The Ramones, The Spits, and The Lurkers. Coming straight out of Memphis, TN, Kidd brings that raw, real energy that’s both fresh and nostalgically punk.
The album also features Ryan’s buddy Mika from Hungary, who laid down all the bass tracks, adding a solid groove to Kidd’s sharp guitars and punchy vocals. The band lineup is rounded out with Dr. Oktober on bass, backing vocals, and synth, Marquee Ramone on drums, and Kel on synth for the tracks “I Live at Night” and “Lousy Place.”
*Fav songs: Terminal Rut and I Live at Night.
If you’re on the hunt for an album that captures the true spirit of classic punk rock with a modern twist, “Dead In Memphis” is a must-have.
