Late to the Party

Yo, if you’re all about fast riffs and that classic skatepunk vibe, No Guidance is about to drop a banger with “Late to the Party“. These German punks aren’t playing around, channeling the raw energy of legends like Satanic Surfers, NUFAN, and Rise Against.

Formed back in 2019, these guys have been grinding, and it shows. Their new record’s out on Thousand Island Records—yeah, the Canadian label that knows what’s up. They packed Late to the Party with 13 tracks that hit like a shot of pure adrenaline straight to your veins.

From the first riff, you’re locked in, with guitars that scream ‘90s skatepunk—fast, melodic, and just the right amount of grit. The tempo changes keep you on your toes, reminding you why we all fell in love with this genre in the first place.

But these dudes aren’t just bringing the noise—they’ve got something to say. “Oh Hell” (opening song) is a brutal takedown of how humanity’s endless hunger for power and wealth is wrecking the planet. We asked for hell, we got it, and now we’re stuck dealing with the fallout.

“Shores” digs deep into the pain of losing someone close, wrestling with loneliness and self-destruction, while longing to turn back time and heal those broken hearts.

“Adequate Salary Blues” throws the spotlight on the grind of working-class life, capturing the frustration of a guy who can barely feed his kids after working his ass off. It’s a punch in the gut about feeling like a puppet in a system that doesn’t give a damn.

And then there’s “Shattered,” where No Guidance calls out the social decay and moral confusion of today, ripping into leaders who spread hate and division without offering any real solutions—just taking advantage of people’s desperation.

Mark September 20, 2024, on your calendar—this album’s not to be missed. Whether you’re skating, driving, or just thrashing around your room, Late to the Party is gonna be your go-to soundtrack. This album’s definitely a contender for Best Album of the Year 2024 at the Good Shit Awards, so trust me—it’s worth the wait.
