Doomed to Dye

Glitter Litter is back with their brand new EP Doomed to Dye, and this time they’re bringing more grit, distortion, and raw emotion. If you’re a fan of that classic, Ramones-inspired bubblegum punk sound with a darker twist, this one’s for you. Released on November 21, this 4-track EP is a perfect blend of catchy hooks, distorted guitars, and angst-filled lyrics about heartbreak and self-doubt.

As always, Andreas (the mastermind behind the Glitter Litter project) nails that infectious, upbeat vibe, but with a little more edge this time around. The guitars are grittier and the punk energy feels a lot more charged. The catchy, pop-punk charm is still there, but the tracks are a little more distorted, a little darkier, and definitely with a sense of horror.

The EP’s theme revolves around breaking up and breaking down, with lyrics that feel like a personal diary entry about those moments when everything falls apart. “In space, no one can hear you scream”—that lyric alone captures the EP’s overall vibe of isolation and frustration, like screaming into the void and not getting an answer.

If you loved Glitter Litter’s earlier work, Doomed to Dye is a natural evolution.

It’s a quick listen that’s bound to leave you wanting more, and if you’re in the mood for some punk that doesn’t shy away from feelings of loss, frustration, and self-doubt, this EP is definitely for you.
