If you’ve been looking for a reason to break your furniture and scream at the ceiling, look no further. Mexico’s own Los Revolucionarios just dropped Myteri Split, and let me tell you, it’s a total throat-punch of a record. This isn’t just “fast music”—it’s a seven-track in how to blend the raw, jagged edge of Hardcore Punk with the crushing weight of Metal without losing an ounce of soul. The album released by Exabrupto Records (México), Halvfabrikat Records (Sweden) and Phobia Records (Czech Republic).

From the jump, this album goes straight for the jugular. We’re talking heavy-as-lead riffs and drumming that feels like a heartbeat after a gallon of espresso. The vocals? Absolutely massive. They’re thick, gritty, and pack enough punch to level a city block. It’s the kind of music specifically designed for “descontrol”—the second you hit play, you’re basically legally obligated to start a pit in your living room.
The Breakdown
- Track Count: 7 blistering songs.
- Vibe: Heavy, direct, and unapologetically loud.
- Highlights: The contrast between the relentless aggression of the main tracks and the atmospheric chill of the “The Vast of Night” outro.
- Aesthetics: The physical release features some seriously killer, well-crafted artwork with a “fino acabado” (fine finish) that makes it a must-have for collectors.
The production on this beast is top-tier. Tracked back in May 2024 at Testa Estudios in León, Guanajuato, the band later headed to Saltillo to lay down the vocals and that haunting outro, “The Vast of Night,” at Mena Studios.
But wait, it gets better. They sent the final product up to Portland, Oregon, to be mastered by none other than Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. If you know anything about heavy music, you know Boatright is the gold standard (the man has worked with everyone from Sleep to Nails). The result? A sound that’s crisp enough to hear every pick slide but dirty enough to keep it punk.
