If you’re always on the hunt for new bands and love supporting the DIY punk rock scene, Cartridge Heart has something you don’t want to miss. The Toronto-based independent label, founded in 2017, is back with the fourth installment of its Go Kick-Ass! compilation series, and this time they’re going BIG.
Released in September 2026, Go Kick-Ass! 4 comes in a double-CD format (yes, you read that right!) featuring 32 tracks packed with a little bit of everything. We’re talking skate punk, pop punk, hardcore, noise punk, high-energy rock ’n’ roll, post-punk, psych, shoegaze, folk, country, and plenty more. It’s a diverse lineup that brings together different sounds and styles under one roof, all connected by that independent spirit that keeps punk rock alive and kicking.
Compilations like this are a great way to discover bands you might not have come across otherwise. Whether you’re into fast riffs, catchy hooks, raw hardcore, or something a little outside the usual punk rock box, there’s plenty here to dig into.
Cartridge Heart continues to do its part for the DIY scene, giving bands a platform and listeners a chance to discover fresh music beyond the usual suspects. So, if you’re tired of listening to the same old stuff and want to support independent music, Go Kick-Ass! 4 is a solid place to start.
