This brand-new split between Pennsylvania’s Bad To Worse and Asheville, North Carolina’s On The Block delivers exactly what you’d expect from two bands rooted in East Coast hardcore, punk, and Oi!: fast, heavy, stripped-down songs that hit hard and get out before wearing out their welcome.
The release comes on a beautiful green cassette, limited to just 100 copies, making it an easy target for collectors.
Bad To Worse, a relatively new band featuring members from acts like Poison The Well, Until The End, and Police State, kick things off with two tough, street-level tracks. “Blood on the Sidewalk” paints a grim picture of neighborhood violence, crime, and the everyday reality of people trying to survive while looking the other way. It’s raw, cynical, and delivered with zero sugarcoating.

On The Block answer with their own brand of raging hardcore. “New Vicious Age” is fueled by frustration at a world drowning in war, addiction, and human suffering. It’s a short blast of anger that captures the feeling that everything is falling apart and nobody’s stopping it.
If you’re into no-frills East Coast hardcore with punk and Oi! attitude, this split is well worth tracking down. Four songs, plenty of aggression, and not a wasted second. Exactly how it should be.
